ThinkPad T60 vs. T61 Windows XP recovery comparison

In July 2019 I made a video showing the restoration of Windows XP on the ThinkPad T60. However, if you want to install Windows XP on your compatible ThinkPad, you might want to use the T61 version instead of the T60 version.
They are very similar: both Windows XP Service Pack 2 with the same "ThinkPad | ThinkCentre" blue world map background. Both come with Microsoft Interactive Training, assorted ThinkVantage software, Symantec Norton anti-virus, and Diskeeper buggy scareware disk defragmenter.
The differences are:

T60 (2006) T61 (2007)
Recovery discs
(excluding supplemental discs)
Seven CDs One CD and one DVD
ThinkVantage Rescue & Recovery
version
3 4 (but it looks and works
the same as 3)
Logo on System Properties (*) IBM (but there are Lenovo
references elsewhere)
Lenovo
Internet Explorer 6 7
Windows Media Player 10 9 (yes, T61 has older WMP)
Lenovo Registration shortcut
(link to dead web site)
No Yes
ThinkPad model referenced in
Access Help manual
T60 T61
Google software included Google Desktop Picasa
Adobe Reader 7 8
Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 (IBM-branded) 1.5.0
Web cam drivers No Yes ("Integrated Camera")
Hard drive volume label IBM_PRELOAD Preload
Directory for drivers
and application installers
\IBMTOOLS \SWTOOLS
SoundMAX audio drivers for T60 Yes No
ATI video drivers for T60 Yes No

(*) If you used the T61 discs but would like the IBM logo in the system properties, back up the files OEMINFO.INI and OEMLOGO.BMP from C:\Windows\System32, then replace them with the ones from the IBM folder in this zip file.

Of course, all included drivers are from 2005-2007, so it's a good idea to install updated drivers.
